Welcome to Etelä-Karjalan Luistelutähdet!

Etelä-Karjalan Luistelutähdet (EKLT) was founded in May 2025 out of a passion to offer high-quality and inclusive figure skating instruction in the South Karelia region. True to its name, EKLT is not limited to one city, our activities extend from Imatra to Savitaipale.


Our goal is to build clear and safe pathways for both competitive skaters and recreational skaters, for everyone who wants to find their place on the ice.

Joy

The joy of skating is at the heart of everything we do. We want every skater to experience the thrill of success and the joy of movement in both practice and performance.

Goal-oriented approach

We support each skater’s individual goals, whether they are skating for fun or aiming to compete. We encourage long-term development and steady progress.

Community

Everyone matters. We create an encouraging atmosphere where we support one another and celebrate progress together.

Safety

Physical and emotional safety are our top priorities. We operate responsibly and intervene if inappropriate behavior occurs.

Our Groups

At EKLT, we believe that every star finds their place on the ice.
That’s why we divide our skaters into three different groups, each named after a star, reflecting each skater’s unique path, light, and potential.

Skating School – Kipinä

A beginner group where play, joy, and safety are at the heart of everything. This is where the first spark on the ice is ignited.

Recreational Group – Säihke

A recreational group for slightly more experienced skaters. Training becomes more versatile, and the joy of skating together grows.

Competitive Group – Loiste

A group for advanced skaters aiming for competitions, performances, and refining their skills.
