At Etelä-Karjalan Luistelutähdet, our goal is to build a sustainable, safe, and high-quality figure skating environment in the South Karelia region. We want every skater to grow, develop, and enjoy skating — in their own way and at their own pace.
Our key goals:
- To establish and stabilize operations in Imatra and Savitaipale by offering training for skaters of all ages and levels
- To build a strong and skilled coaching team, led by an experienced head coach and supported by hourly instructors
- To enable both hobby and competitive skating, supporting each skater’s personal goals
- To participate in the Finnish Figure Skating Association’s activities, including applying for the Tähtiseura quality label
- To promote equality, safety, and ethical values in all our activities
- To offer skating opportunities also for individuals with special needs, making joy and movement accessible for all
- To collaborate with local schools, businesses, and other clubs to strengthen community engagement
- To create a positive and visible image of figure skating in South Karelia through events, performances, and communication
